Introducing Juhlaniitty - the Nurmijärvi 250-Year Anniversary Beer! To celebrate the quarter-millennium of Nurmijärvi, the largest municipality in Finland, we brewed a special beer inspired by the meadows and farmlands of the region. Juhlaniitty is flavored with elderflower, meadowsweet and local honey, with a malt base that includes oats from Krannin tila & kauramylly. Nurmijärvi proudly promotes itself as the “Metro Boonies” (Lähilande in Finnish), and we wanted this beer to reflect that spirit, not just through local ingredients, but also in the feeling it evokes. The aroma brings out the distinct floral notes of elderflower and meadowsweet, which carry through in the flavor. The taste begins with elderflower and shifts towards meadowsweet and honey in the finish. Juhlaniitty is fermented with our house blend of two White Labs Copenhagen Saison strains, a base we've refined across hundreds of food-pairing brews, and one that carries delicate flavors beautifully. This beer pairs well with creamy or sweet desserts like ice cream, crème brûlée, or torched meringue, especially those with summer flavors. Or just enjoy it as-is to toast the season or any special moment. Juhlaniitty launches this Wednesday at Nurmijärvi-Kekkerit, where it will be served by the glass. It will also be available from K-Supermarket Lähde, Rajamäki & K-Supermarket Nurmijärvi and our brewery shop Do Good Brew Brewery Shop 🍻
